Special Project: T-SHIRTS ARE HERE!!!
We have sizes from Medium to XXXL available to order right now. There are limited quantities of each at this time--if there's the demand, we may do another print run of these shirts, but for now, this is it! Act fast if you want one!
We hope that this will be just the first of many special projects that we're able to offer. The success of this project will determine whether or not we're able to do so!

Special Project Updates
Just received word that the t-shirts are on their way. They will be available to order sometime mid-next week. We're really excited to get the finished product in our hands. This first order is a fairly limited run, so they may go quickly!
The Walking Dead
Just read this past week that there are only 3 episodes left of this season. Not sure who came up with the 6 episode season, but I'd like to smack 'em one. Word is that a second season is planned, with 13 episodes, but it won't premiere until next fall. That's a long wait. More here >

Special Project
Note on the t-shirts - I've had a few people e-mail about pre-ordering. Right now, we're not ready to accept payments - I want to make sure that the printing company does a good job before we start, and we don't have the back-end set up yet. Give us a couple days and we should have everything worked out.

I watched The Crazies
on Netflix about a week ago. Everyone in a small town starts to turn into homicidal crazy zombies of sorts, and the government converges to clean up the problem. Things, of course, get messy. Pretty good survival horror with some very tense scenes. Recommended.
Skyline is hitting theaters today, and it looks like an update on the Independence Day/alien invasion movie. Initial reviews are really bad, though...currently rating 29% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Precious Metals
Gold and silver are down sharply this morning. Is it a momentary dip for profit taking or a market correction?
Ammo Deals
Remember those crazy days of 2008/early 2009? Well, ammo prices have come back to earth. There are lots of excellent deals on the interweb...AIM Surplus has a killer deal right now on 7.62x39mm (16 cents a round!).
Complaining about Optics
So I'm shopping around for some optics for my AR, and I can't for the life of me understand why quality red dots are $400+. What the heck? Yes, I realize and Aimpoint is a well made and well engineered piece of gear, but it's what, a metal housing, some glass and some very basic electronics? Why $400??? A solar calculator is more complicated. Their cost to make one of the scopes can't be anywhere close to that, can it?

Special Project: T-Shirt Preview
A preview of our first t-shirt design--TEOTWAWKI Ready in OD. Subdued color and low profile. Represent your prepping ways, but only to those in the know.
These are being cooked up right now. Screen printed on a 6.1 oz heavyweight, pre-shrunk, high quality cotton tee.
Limited print run, so if you've got your heart set on one, you'll need to order fast or risk missing out. They will be available for purchase here on the blog once we have the shirts in hand. I'll post up more details.

Inflation Rumblings
Interesting week this week, with the Yemeni mail bombs, elections and the Fed's announcement of their $600 billion "quantitative-easing program." The Fed announcement has flown mostly under the radar, as have rising concerns about inflation. Gold and silver have responded accordingly, closing Friday at $1394.10 and $26.74 respectively. Yikes. Keep an eye on this one.

Special Project: Update
Looks like I am going to do t-shirts first, then patches. Design is in the final stages, we'll be sending it out to print in the next week or so. I need to know what kinds of sizes to order, though, so I've started a poll to figure that out. I'm going to let it run for 5 days. Please don't vote if don't think you will order a shirt.

Propaganda Poll is Closed!
The poll is closed and over, and it looks like T-Shirts and Patches tied in the voting, so we may have to do BOTH. We'll start work on 'em.
These will be limited edition print run, one time only designs. T-shirts are anticipated to be somewhere around $20+ shipping and printed on a quality t-shirt (probably Hanes Beefy T's). Patches will be between $5-$10 + shipping, and will have velcro backing.
I hope to have them ready-for-order before Thanksgiving.
Stay tuned!

Special Project: TEOTWAWKI Propaganda Poll
I've been thinking about doing some kind of fun/swag type stuff for a while now, but wanted to see whether there was interest. I've put a poll in the right hand column with a few different ideas--t-shirts, stickers, posters, etc. You can vote on multiple things. I'm trying to gauge which would be the most popular so I can start from there.
These would all be professionally designed, printed and done well. I know the actual purchase decision depends on having a cool design, so vote with having a cool design in mind. A vote's obviously not a commitment to purchase, but if you would honestly never buy anything no matter how cool the design was, don't vote :). No idea on pricing on any of these, but it would be reasonable and in-line with what you're used to seeing.
A bit of clarification on the stickers--these would be high-quality, vinyl cut stickers. The small size would be sized to put on a laptop or notebook, so maybe 2.5x3 inches max, probably smaller. The big sized would be big enough for the back window of a car/truck or sufficiently occupy the side of an ammo can--around 6 inches or so.
